Enter the Art of Beer and Cheese

No beer collection is complete without Trappist beer. Positioned at the top end, savouring a Trappist beer is widely regarded as the ultimate experience in beer culture. Primium's is the first official importer on the African continent of Chimay Trappist products. Historic.

Brewed at the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Scourmont, Chimay is the leader amongst the 6 Belgian beers that carry the logo Authentic Trappist Product. Globally, only 9 beers are recognised as such. This certification is granted by the International Trappist Association, bringing together the monasteries of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, only to beers that are brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the control and responsibility of monks and whose revenue is devoted to social service or used for the upkeep of the monastery. Exclusive.

In order to support the needs of their foundations and support local employment, the Cistercian Trappist monks of Chimay have since 1862 developed the production of Belgian Beers and Trappist Cheeses. Tradition.
